For over 33 years, IZE has been providing some of the most unforgettable educational experiences in Central America. Now IZE is pleased to offer an unparalled opportunity for natural and cultural learning in one of the most geographically diverse countries in the world - Venezuela.
Travel with IZE to Venezuela and explore the snowcapped peaks of the Andes, steamy Amazonian jungles, and the spectacular white-sand beaches of Venezuela from our eco-lodge, located on the Caribbean coast in the Henri Pittier National Park.
Eco adventure
With it's diverse landscapes, vibrant culture, and abundent wildlife, Venezuela is an eco adventure travel paradise. Warm and sunny year-round with an average daytime temperature of 77º F (25º C) on the coast, Venezuela is home to an incredible variety of birds, mammels, and marine life.
Trek through the mountains of the Henri Pittier National Park with our local guides, tracing the Spanish colonial coffee and cocoa routes, and you're likely to see howler monkeys, sloths, and ocelots, as well as pre-Columbian petroglyphs and Colonial ruins.
Snorkel and dive in the pristine coral lagoon of "La Cienaga" and spot colorfull parot fish, angel fish, trumpet fish, moray eels, sea turtles and octopus among the flourishing corals and sponges.
Explore the trails around the Ranchero Grande Biological research station, located within the park, around dawn and experience what the Audubon society calles "one of the rarest, most exquisite experiences a bird watcher can have anywhere in the world."
With over 576 bird species living within the park, this orinthological paradise offers bird watchers a chance to study the primitive Hoatzin, White-tipped Quetzal, Rufous-cheeked Tanager, Yellow-bellied Siskin, and many, many more.
