Longsnout Seahorse
(Hippocampus reidi)

The delicate-looking longsnout seahorse has a number of color phases and is usually less than 6" long.

Divers and snorkelers in Belize will commonly discover seahorses in the shallow waters near shore, where they anchor themselves to coral branches, blades of seagrass, mangrove roots and other solid objects with their long, flexible tails.
