About IZE
International Zoological Expeditions, Inc. (IZE) is the pioneer of ecotourism, educational and adventure travel to Belize.

The first in educational eco-travel to Belize
In 1970, IZE's founder, Fred Dodd, traveled to what was then British Honduras while pursuing a PhD in Herpetology. What he discovered was a destination of unparalleled beauty that was virtually unknown to tourists.
Recognizing the ecological importance and wealth of Belize, Fred dedicated himself to sharing, through education, the richness of Belize's coral reefs and tropical rain forests. From these beginnings, IZE Belize was born.
